Runner is free while it is in beta. That is the whole price today. Below is what I honestly do and do not know about what comes after.

Every feature. Nothing is held back for a paid tier.
No card, no trial timer, no usage cap.
One licence key, one machine at a time. You can move it yourself from Settings.
Updates arrive automatically while the beta runs.

What happens after the beta

I have not set a price. I am not going to invent one here so this page looks more finished than the product is.

What I have decided:

Beta testers who send me real feedback keep Runner free, permanently. Not a discount, not a first year. Free. That is the trade I am offering for the thing I actually need, which is an honest list of what broke.
If there is ever a paid version, it will be a normal price for a tool that saves an editor time, and it will be announced here before anything changes.
Nothing you have already installed will stop working because I changed my mind about pricing.

Questions people actually ask

Is this "free" the kind that turns into a bill?

No card is stored anywhere, because Runner does not take payment at all right now. There is no billing system to accidentally charge you.

What is the catch?

The catch is that it is beta software written by one person. Things break. When they do I would like to hear about it, which is the entire reason the price is zero.

Can I use it on client work?

Yes, and I would prefer it. A tool that only survives a test project has not been tested. Bear in mind you are responsible for the licensing of whatever footage you pull, the same as if you had downloaded it in a browser. See the terms.

Team or studio licences?

Not yet. If you need several seats, email me and I will sort it out by hand rather than making you wait for a feature.
