Every version of Runner and what changed in it. These are the same notes the panel shows you after it updates. Newest first.

0.2.22

• Downloads that come back in a format Premiere cannot read are now converted for you. A 1080p clip could arrive as VP9 and land on the timeline as "unsupported compression type vp09"; Runner now checks every download and converts anything Premiere cannot open.
• Clips with Opus audio, which Premiere imports silent, are fixed by the same change.

0.2.21

• The panel now starts the Runner service itself. If the service was not already running you could sit on "waiting for the Runner service" indefinitely, even though everything was installed correctly.

0.2.20

• Fixed a fresh install never starting its service, which left the panel waiting forever on a machine where nothing was actually wrong.

• There is now a Feedback button in the panel header. It reaches me directly — bugs, ideas, or just "this felt clumsy", which is the most useful kind.
• Failed downloads now report themselves so I can fix things without waiting for someone to tell me.

• Fixed YouTube downloads failing at every resolution with a "403 Forbidden" error. YouTube changed something on their end and the downloader needed updating.
• The downloader now updates itself in the background, so a change at YouTube gets repaired on its own instead of breaking downloads until you notice.

0.2.17

• Fixed 2K and 4K clips landing on the timeline with sound but no picture. Premiere cannot read the AV1 video that YouTube serves above 1080p, so those downloads are now converted to H.264 first. Re-download anything that came in as audio only.
• Heads up: because of that conversion, a 4K download takes noticeably longer than 1080p. The progress bar shows "converting" while it works.

0.2.16

• Fixed 4K downloads failing partway with a "403 Forbidden" error. Large files are now fetched in chunks, so a long download no longer gets cut off — 1080p was never affected, which is why this looked like a 4K problem.
• 2K and 4K are quicker again: a download started a while after you picked the resolution could fall back to re-encoding the whole file instead of downloading it ready to use.

• Fixed: your Downloads folder is no longer swept into the library. Anything that landed there was moved into the Asset Browser cache, not deleted — you can find it under Settings, next to the cache location.
• Files you point the panel at are now copied instead of moved, so the original always stays where you put it.

• In-progress downloads now show in your Library with live progress, the source, and a Cancel button.
• A nicer preview player: scrub, playback speed, fullscreen and picture-in-picture.
• Browse zoom is now remembered across restarts.
• Cleaner navigation: Settings moved to a gear icon and the tabs got icons.

• Fixed downloaded videos importing into Premiere with no audio. Audio is now saved as AAC, which Premiere reads (re-download any clip that was silent).

• List view is now a sortable details view: Name, Duration, Size and Added columns — click a header to sort.
• You can now download 2K and 4K from YouTube; they’re handled so they import straight into Premiere.
• New “Repair Asset Browser” tool (Start Menu) fixes a missing panel or a service blocked by antivirus.

• Hover any video in your library to play a quick preview — judge a clip without opening it.
• No more Windows Firewall prompt.
• Media tools (ffmpeg) now ship with the installer, and the background service shows as “AssetBrowserService” in Task Manager.

• Warns before re-downloading a clip you already have — with Show in library or Download anyway — instead of downloading the whole thing first.
• Fresh look: proper icons throughout, a redesigned download button on media, and glowing download notifications with a live download animation.
• Notifications are dismissable — swipe them away or click the ×.
• “What’s new” is now a tidy popover you can dismiss.

• A site’s own Download button now works — when it opens the file in a new tab (Pixabay, Pexels, etc.), we download it instead of navigating away.

• Fixed downloads failing on Cloudflare-protected sites (e.g. Pixabay) — the “+” grab now downloads through the browser’s own session.
